Broncos fans were excited to see the team make a trade for Bradley Chubb, but now they are wondering if it was worth it.

The von miller height is a question that has been asked by many people. With the Broncos having Bradley Chubb and Von Miller together, it could be a potential cure for the Broncos.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Linebackers Von Miller and Bradley Chubb working together on defense is at the top of the Denver Broncos’ wish list as training camp progresses.

The lofty expectations for what the two might do as a defensive unit have faded, since it’s been nearly two years since they last participated in a regular-season game together.

Miller said, “We just want to go out there and do what we’re supposed to do.” “… We want to play to our full potential and to the best of our abilities. We’ve seen it before and would want to see it again.”

Sure, the Broncos have seen it, but they’ve also gone 28 games without Chubb, their first-round selection in 2018, and Miller, their longest-serving player, lined up alongside, attempting to make the opposition quarterback’s life a bit more difficult.

Chubb tore his ACL in a Week 4 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 29, 2019. Chubb returned to the game nearly a quarter after his injury, even forcing a fumble on Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew II with 1:18 remaining. “[Chubb] was as shocked as anybody,” Broncos coach Vic Fangio said after the ligament tear was found.

Miller was frustrated with an eight-sack season (his lowest total since 2013) and a lot of double teams, so Chubb skipped the rest of the season.

Miller appeared as good as ever in training camp last summer, with Chubb rehabbing at the almost empty Broncos’ facility during the COVID-19 epidemic. Before Miller sustained a season-ending ankle injury days before the regular season, as an otherwise unremarkable practice came to a close, visions of a sack-filled season danced in nearly everyone’s mind.

Then it was Chubb’s time to deal with the double-team frustration that came with Miller’s absence, until an ankle injury terminated his season with two games remaining. Chubb kept working hard and earned his first Pro Bowl selection with eight sacks.

The Broncos are currently about two weeks away from the start of training camp. They’re once again planning what a defense with a much-improved secondary might do if opponents have to pick between double-teaming Miller and Chubb.

Miller’s closest buddy on the team, Broncos kicker Brandon McManus, stated, “[Miller] has been training for two years now… working his butt off out there in California, and he’s never looked any better.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing him, after two years, go back out there and dominate like he used to. It’s a big mood lift for the defense and the team to have someone, the franchise sack leader, on the field with you and the way he’s able to disrupt and assist Bradley on the other side, as well as everyone else on the field, because it’s similar to our 2015 season, as you know.”

The Broncos aren’t saying that lightly, considering that their 2015 defense will always have a special spot in the trophy case, as Miller was named Super Bowl 50 MVP after leading the league in total defense, pass defense, and sacks en route to the franchise’s third Super Bowl victory.

Chubb had ankle surgery earlier this summer, but the Broncos anticipate him to be ready for training camp and the start of the regular season. In June, Miller seemed to be in top form, to the point that, when questioned about his 11th season in the league, he said, “I’m still going around here kicking everybody’s ass.”

For the Broncos, the allure of it all is alluring. Especially considering in the 20 games they’ve played together, Miller and Chubb have combined for 29.5 sacks (16.5 for Miller, 13 for Chubb).

• Is the Broncos’ defense a panacea for postseason blues? • Are the Raiders’ offseason moves sufficient for D? • For the WFT, it’s been a year of upheaval and turmoil. • Who are the Patriots’ backfield’s linchpins?

And for a club that spent cash on free-agent cornerbacks like Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby before drafting Alabama cornerback Pat Surtain II with the No. 1 selection, a pass rush led by Miller and Chubb might make the Broncos a force regardless of who wins the quarterback battle.

“I’ve said Von showed that nobody in this league can block him one-on-one,” Chubb said earlier this year. “He can have his way and do anything he wants in this league and score sacks on whomever he wants.” “These injuries have taken away from us as an organization over the last two years, and we haven’t been able to demonstrate what we’re capable of. It’ll be massive with us on the pitch.”

“With me and Chubb out there, I want to do what I know I can do, do my best,” Miller said. “Get sacks, cause turnovers, make huge plays at crucial moments, and win games,” says the coach.
