The hockey world showed its support for the NHL player Luke Prokop on Thursday after he announced that he is gay.
The luke prokop instagram is a picture of Luke Prokop, who is currently playing for the San Jose Sharks. The photo was taken by his partner, Matt Prokop.
Luke Prokop of the Nashville Predators became the first current player under NHL contract to come out as homosexual on Monday.
“I have dreamt of becoming an NHL player from a young age, and I think that living my genuine life will enable me to bring my entire self to the ice and increase my chances of achieving my goals,” Prokop said on Instagram.

He told ESPN that he has gotten support from the NHL behind the scenes after coming out to Predators management in June. Prokop’s announcement has sparked an outpouring of solidarity from the hockey world, with players and teams expressing their support on social media.
