Daniel Sturridge, a former Liverpool striker, has vowed to leave his ego at the door when he joins Perth Glory, insisting that he is not visiting Australia for a vacation.
One of the greatest coups in the history of the A-League Men’s tournament is Sturridge’s one-season contract with Glory.

The 32-year-old former England international is a two-time Champions League and FA Cup champion who scored 67 goals for Liverpool during a six-year period and also won the Premier League with Chelsea.
Sturridge will be the center of attention in every game for Glory, but rather than focusing on individual glory while enjoying the Australian lifestyle, he wants to learn about the club’s history and assist the squad succeed.
Sturridge stated, “I’m going there as a humble guy, putting my ego at the door.” “Of course, players can make a difference, but I simply don’t believe it’s feasible in global football for one player to lead a team since everyone is required.”
“Everyone on the team is vital. I’m not visiting for the holidays. I’ve arrived in order to play football. I’m there to give it all I’ve got.”
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Sturridge is training in England with a coach, and his precise arrival date in Australia is uncertain.

Sturridge was devastated by his four-month suspension, but he never lost his passion for the game.
“In my opinion, you can never lose your passion for the game,” Sturridge remarked.
“This is a game I’ve liked and adored playing since I was a three or four-year-old kicking a ball around in my front yard at home.”
“I’ll definitely be attempting to play [soccer] with my grandchildren or whatever it is even when I’m old and grey.” This wonderful game will stay with me forever, and I was born to play it.
“After being out for that long and watching games, there was a part of me that said, ‘I want to go out there and play.’
“However, it all came down to picking the appropriate location and making the correct choice.”
