Ben Simmons is the first player in NBA history to be drafted by a team that already had a championship roster. The Philadelphia 76ers are hoping he can lead them to their first title, but it won’t be easy. Here are some reasons why Simmons should succeed with the Warriors.

The gsw is a team that has been successful in the past. They have won two of the last three NBA championships and they are currently on a 16-game winning streak. Ben Simmons, who is a Philadelphia 76ers player, can join this team and win an NBA title with them.

Ben Simmons is maybe the most scrutinized player in the NBA at the moment. Despite being named to three All-Star teams and two All-Defensive teams before the age of 25, the Australian believes he is not receiving the recognition he deserves. As a 6’10” point guard, Simmons is one of the finest defenders in the NBA, and his playmaking has helped the 76ers become one of the top teams in the league.

However, one element of Simmons’ public persona always appears to knock him down: his shooting. Simmons, who is coming off a playoffs with Philadelphia in which he shot a dismal 34.2 percent from the free-throw line, may be the worst shooting point guard we’ve ever seen. As a result, he shoots free throws worse than Shaquille O’Neal.

The 76ers are in win-now mentality and are attempting to trade Simmons for another player who can complement Joel Embiid better. Simmons may not be the right fit for the 76ers, but he may be the missing piece in the Golden State Warriors’ quest for a title as early as next season. The Warriors are already a terrific team, but Ben Simmons has the potential to make them the most complete squad in the NBA. The Warriors may offer the following trade package in return for Ben Simmons, as well as how this move could impact both clubs.

Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman are part of a trade package for Ben Simmons.

The Philadelphia 76ers are retooling for the future.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been a title contender since Joel Embiid established himself as one of the league’s top big players and the club paid Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris maximum salaries. Despite possessing one of the most talented teams in the league, Philadelphia has not reached the NBA Finals since the Allen Iverson era.

The Embiid-Simmons combination is clearly ineffective since the latter is restricted to scoring within the paint anytime he has to take a shot. Philadelphia has to find a better shooter to complement Embiid, who is 7’0″ and attracts a lot of attention. More significantly, Philadelphia needs its second-best player to be on the court at crucial moments, which has not been the case.

By adding Andrew Wiggins, Philadelphia improves their floor space immediately and adds big man depth in the form of James Wiseman, who may be a future All-Star. Philadelphia prides itself on defense, and Simmons is an important part of that, but Wiggins and Wiseman are capable of filling that role on the floor while delivering more consistent offense. While this contract won’t guarantee Philadelphia a championship next season, it will provide a foundation on which to grow as players like Tyrese Maxey and Shake Milton develop.

Ben Simmons is capable of competing against the best players in the NBA.

Ben Simmons is a fantastic defender, towering 6’10” and capable of defending the top players on opposing teams. Because the team will go as far as the shooters lead them, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will have more time to concentrate on their offensive game.

Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Giannis Antetokounmpo are all players Ben Simmons can match up well with. Forwards are increasingly becoming the driving force behind their teams’ success, and the Warriors need a defensive stopper to keep up with them.

Both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are smaller than the league’s greatest forwards, and neither will be able to stop them. When LeBron and Giannis attack, Simmons has the length, speed, and height to challenge Durant and Kawhi’s shoots while still guarding the rim. The Golden State Warriors will not win a championship until they match up with the game’s best four forwards, and Ben Simmons would level the playing field on both ends of the court.

With Simmons, the Warriors win the championship.

“One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure,” as the adage goes. While Simmons isn’t the solution for the Philadelphia 76ers due to Joel Embiid’s presence, he is unquestionably the answer for the Golden State Warriors. There may be concerns about how Simmons and Draymond Green will get along, but given how successfully the Warriors have handled egos in the past, this shouldn’t be a problem.

Ben Simmons, who stands 6’10”, is one of the NBA’s most talented passers right now. He might have the luxury of setting up Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson instead of feeding the likes of Seth Curry and Danny Green for shots. With Simmons on the court, the Warriors now have another All-Star player to complement Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Simmons is already a one-man fast break, and having two of the best shooters in NBA history at his side poses a threat to the league.

Simmons also adds another defender to the mix, and his defensive combination with Green and Thompson would be difficult to score against. No other team in the league can match what Golden State can put on the court. The Nets have a lot of scorers, but they won’t be able to defend as well as Simmons, Green, and Thompson can. The Lakers have a fantastic squad, but Russell Westbrook does not fit in with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Finally, with Simmons giving Curry and Thompson the ball, the Bucks are unable to shoot as well as the Warriors. Only the Golden State Warriors can surround Ben Simmons with guys that are suited to his playing style, so he can be himself and do what he does best.

With all of this talent, it’s not hard to see why Simmons might have a chance at winning an NBA title. Reference: ben simmons defense.
